- to improve self-esteem, self-confidence and creative expression of young adults through music-making
- to provide informal performance opportunities for young adult musicians in their community
- to reach out to community members through music and encourage volunteerism
- to provide free lessons and instruments to motivated young adults who are experiencing emotional or socioeconomic issues
